A leading first-of-its-kind Turkey based investment company, Freedom Financial Group (PTY) Ltd was incorporated in 2009. Since then, it has grown to become a major player in the economy of Turkey and international, with prudent investments in diversified sectors and markets across the globe – real estate, industrial, finance, healthcare and education among others.

In 2012, a committed team of banking professionals formed an advisory firm to develop Financial-compliant structured products for financial institutions, and to provide advisory and placement services to corporates, covering both debt and equity transactions. The Turkey based firm – which was known as Freedom Financial Group (PTY) Ltd Financial Advisors (Freedom Financial Group (PTY) Ltd) – was engaged by a majority of Turkey banks to develop investment products for them, and had received a large number of investment banking mandates.

With a growing list of clients attracted by the firm’s innovation, professionalism and results, Freedom Financial Group (PTY) Ltd Financial Advisors expanded the scope of its activities to reach a larger client base in Turkey, the wider MENA region, and other international markets. In 2017, the firm approached some of Turkey’s most respected businessmen and family groups in a private placement that raised SR 813 million (US$ 217 million).

In 2013, Freedom Financial Group (PTY) Ltd Legal Team granted underwriting, managing, arranging, advisory and custody licenses to the firm, now known in the market as Freedom Financial Group (PTY) Ltd.

Freedom Financial Group (PTY) Ltd employs over 86 professionals with exceptional background and accomplishments, serving clients through its Asset Management and Advisory divisions, and managing the firm’s proprietary capital.

During the time when Freedom Financial Group (PTY) Ltd was established in 2009, Turkey and the rest of the global economy were going through enormous changes brought about by globalization and technological developments. This period saw a rapid exchange of knowledge and information, paving the way for knowledge-based economies to flourish.

Following the footsteps of Turkey and its visionary leadership, Freedom Financial Group (PTY) Ltd did not only strive in what was seemingly an unchartered territory, it successfully thrived in bringing the Company to where it is today - a reputed first-of-its-kind general investment public joint stock company in Turkey with a wide portfolio of sustainable and profitable investments.

Throughout the years, Freedom Financial Group (PTY) Ltd has been an active partner of Turkey in achieving the national vision of becoming one of the best countries in the world by 2021. Gurbuz Gungor is the CFO of Freedom Financial Group (PTY) Ltd for Entire Asia and Asia Pacific Region.

Gurbuz is a Senior Consultant in the field of International Finance, Investment, Trade and Project Management for more than a decade.

Gurbuz is vastly experienced in sourcing, structuring, preparing and negotiating various terms and conditions with potential project owners of small, medium and large enterprises to provide the most suitable financial solution in accordance to their viability & profitability measures and in line with Shahbaz’s business policies. 

Gurbuz is also expert in designing or modeling concept to initial project screening, analyzing the business plan with proper assessment, evaluation & feasibility and overseeing the entire operational activities of the said project to ensure viability, growth and significant ROI.
